What does Superpower actually test?

The membership's centerpiece is an annual blood panel of 100+ biomarkers, roughly ten times what a routine annual physical samples. Here's what that covers, described plainly, from someone who has the results in their app right now.

Heart & lipids

Cholesterol and related cardiovascular markers: the numbers a standard physical samples, in more depth.

Hormones

Sex and stress hormones, including panels like testosterone. (In my case, the slowest result of the week.)

Metabolic health

Blood sugar and metabolic function markers that describe how your body handles energy.

Inflammation

Markers that describe systemic inflammation levels at the time of the draw.

Nutrients & vitamins

Vitamin and mineral levels: the category where out-of-range findings are most common and most actionable.

Organ function & blood counts

Kidney, liver, and standard blood count markers rounding out the panel.

One draw, many labs

A panel this size runs as many separate tests in parallel. At my draw they filled seven or eight vials, and the phlebotomist explained that vials are routed to different labs depending on the marker. That's also why results arrive in waves over about a week rather than all at once. The draw happens at any of 3,000+ Quest Diagnostics locations, fasted from the night before.

What the app does with 100+ numbers

Raw lab values are unreadable to most of us; the app is where the panel becomes useful. Beyond per-marker ranges, it computes a Superpower Score (one algorithmic number summarizing the whole panel) and a biological age, an estimate of the age your biology resembles. Test annually and a timeline tracks every marker's movement between draws. Wearables (Apple Watch, Fitbit, Oura) can feed in daily metrics too, though I haven't used that side of it.

One boundary worth stating plainly: this is descriptive information about your biology, not a diagnosis. Superpower's panels run through CLIA-certified labs with physician ordering and review, and anything flagged gets escalation timelines, but what you do with your numbers is between you and your clinician.

Curious what the experience is like?
